African adventure
Adriaan has been visiting Zanzibar regularly since 1992, long before it appeared on any adventure-travel radar. Over more than three decades of return visits, he has cycled virtually every road, track, path and beach on the island. He knows the island like a native.
The route you'll ride on this trip was not designed from a map. Every overnight stop, every water point and every side detour was chosen from personal experience, places Adriaan has discovered over years of exploration, filtered down to the ten-day journey that delivers the most extraordinary version of Zanzibar possible on two wheels.
Secret Destinations was founded on a simple idea: that the best adventures are the ones most people never find. Adriaan's role on this trip is host, co-guide and the person who has personally vetted every lodge, every route section and every highlight on the itinerary.
